I began my teaching career in 1985. I was a classroom teacher for 20 years before earning a Reading Specialist certification and becoming a literacy interventionist. I am trained in Barton Reading and Spelling, Phonics First, LIPS (Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing for Reading and Spelling and Speech) and Reading Recovery. My sons, Tyler and Kory, both attended London Elementary and I now have five grandchildren attending or soon to attend Russellville Schools. As a literacy interventionist I am committed to helping children and I strive to make learning meaningful and fun. It is my privilege to work hand in hand with my fellow teachers, parents and the community to further the education of each and every child.
