This June, the Russellville Police Department is proud to announce the First Responders Youth Academy – “NexGen Responders”! 👮♀️🚒🚑
There will be two separate sessions this June to serve two different age groups, giving youth the chance to learn, lead, and experience what it takes to be a first responder.
📅 Sign-up Deadline: May 1st
⚠️ Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
📬 Applicants will be notified of their acceptance into the academy.

Reminders: Our Book Character Parade will take place on Thursday, April 23rd. Parade permission slips are due on Tuesday, April 21st. Students may bring a potato decorated as a book character on Monday or Tuesday. Students do not need a permission slip to bring a potato. The potatoes will be displayed in front of the library and judged by RSD Media Specialists!

Mrs. Orellana's class has been learning about inequalities by using hands-on materials such as number cards, >, < or = symbols, and base-ten blocks to compare numbers and show whether a number is greater than, less than or equal to another number. This skill helps students build a strong foundation in number sense and prepares them for more advanced math concepts. #OHEistheplacetobe

Hooked on learning! 🎣 Mrs. Hudson’s kindergarteners had a blast “fishing” for CVC words! Each student used a pretend fishing pole to catch a word, then read it aloud to practice decoding. From cat to pig to sun, they were sounding out each letter and blending the sounds together like pros! Learning to read is even more exciting when you can catch your words! 🐟📚 #OHEistheplacetobe
