🌟 Grandparents Breakfast Reminders ● Parking: Please park neatly so we can fit as many cars as possible. Parking on the grass is okay! ● Arrival: Students need to be in the building by 8:00. After that, they are counted tardy. ● Check-In: Grandparents and visitors will sign in and get a visitor tag at the table outside the front doors. ● Wait Time: Please wait until 8:15 to sign in so students can get to class and we can finish announcements. ● Breakfast: If you didn’t order breakfast from the cafeteria, you’re welcome to bring your own breakfast to enjoy with your student. If you didn’t turn in the purple form, please call the office so we know to send your student to the cafeteria. ● Food Sharing: Per district policy 4.58, please do not share food with other students.

Congratulations to Emma Reeves for being selected as Officer Harris's September Backup Officer. Emma will train with and assist Officer Harris in school safety responsibilities this month. 🤩

We had some special guests this morning at Oakland Heights! Members of the Cyclone Football Team greeted our students at morning drop off and on the playground! We are looking forward to Oakland Heights Night at Cyclone Stadium-tonight September 5th!!! GO CYCLONES!!!! 🌪️🌪️🌪️❤️

Our kindergarten All Stars are learning to draw pictures and label using their letter sound knowledge to tell a story. This is so important for these young writers because it helps them express their ideas clearly, even before they can write full sentences. #OHEistheplacetobe 💙🤩

📝 Grandparents Day Forms are due TOMORROW, Tuesday, September 2nd. Please complete a purple form if you plan to attend, even if you are not purchasing breakfast. (This is how we will know which students to send to the cafeteria.)
⏰ Please do not come into the building until 8:15am to allow us to get through arrival/student drop off, complete attendance, and do our morning announcements.
✅ Unable to attend the Grandparents Day Breakfast for your student? No worries! Students may have guests for lunch any day of the week beginning tomorrow, September 2nd.

There will be no school on Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day! Have a wonderful and safe weekend!

Our new Assistant Principal, Mr. Kordsmeier, has been visiting classrooms and sharing one of our favorite stories — If You Take a Mouse to School! 🐭The students loved having him as a guest reader and seeing how much he enjoys books too.
