Our September Student of the Month is Braxton Osburn! He got to be the first person to sign our new brag board for positive office referrals! Braxton was selected as our student of the month because of his effort and high level of engagement in the classroom. He is always willing to lend a helping hand without being asked or told to do so. He is shining bright in fourth grade!
I want to give a huge shout-out to all of our parents for being so kind and understanding today when we had to abruptly go home due to a water leak. We have the best families at London Elementary!
Also, a big thank you to our staff who all willingly and happily jumped in to help with our dismissal today. They always go above and beyond to take care of our students no matter what is needed!

Due to a city water leak and no water at London Elementary, school will be dismissing at 12:15 today. All children will need to be picked up from school. You may come anytime between now and 12:15. Check out intervention and extension time in Ms. Wade's classroom this week! Grade level parent meetings are coming up! Please make plans to attend as we share important information on how we can work together to help your child succeed at school. Masks will be required while inside the building. For more information, please contact your child's teacher.
Announcement: There will be no school board meeting tomorrow night, August 17, 2021. The next regularly scheduled board meeting will be September 21, 2021.
Breakfast and lunch menus are available on our website and Facebook page. Please know that the menus are subject to change at the last minute depending upon availability of supplies delivered each week.

The only difference from last year and this year is that we will not be doing temperature checks on every student as seen in the video. Also, just a reminder that we will not be able to have parents and visitors in our building at this time, even on the first day of school. I know that is hard but I promise we will take great care of every single one of our students! Masks are required for every student and staff inside our building for the next 30 days. The school board will re-evaluate that requirement at the September board meeting.

London Elementary is the ONLY school in the district that offers onsite after-school care for students.....called Tiger Town! Our Tigers that attend absolutely LOVE it and beg to go each day. Each afternoon at 3:30, the Tiger Town staff picks up the students in the hallway and walks them to the gym. If you need childcare after school, take advantage of this opportunity! It is available every day until 6pm. Registration is now open and students must be pre-registered to attend. **MAKE SURE TO SELECT LONDON FROM THE DROP DOWN LIST WHEN YOU REGISTER!**
5th graders that live in the London zone can ride the bus out to London after school from RIS and attend Tiger Town as well. However, this program is not available for pre-k students.
