The students and faculty of SLC were treated to a Talent Showcase. They were captivated by choreographed dance routines, singing, two artist showcases where various examples of student artwork were displayed via PowerPoint, and one dramatic reading of an original short story. It was a wonderful hour showcasing an artistic side of students that often goes underappreciated. Thank you so much to Ms. Shaw and Mrs. Hickenbottom for organizing this event and sharing your dance moves with the students!

In an effort to make strategic, data-driven decisions, Russellville School District has partnered with Hanover Research to conduct research projects for our district for one year. The 2018 School Climate Survey is the first survey Hanover will be conducting for our district. The district is requesting participation from parents and community members in this 10-minute anonymous survey. The results of the survey will be used to guide our improvement planning process, and we need your participation in our improvement endeavors. The survey link will be available via this link: https://hanoverresearch.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_40zEfTzt8VSGurP and on the RSD Facebook page from March 28th-April 11th. Parents will also be receiving a letter with the web link and a QR code this week. Thank you very much for your continued support of the Russellville School District. Working together, we make a positive difference in the future of our children.

Mr. Peters' classes just finished a project in which each group picked out wallpaper and gave a presentation to convince him to hire them to wallpaper my classroom. Students learned to work with tape measures, find square footage of the classroom, and determine material costs and labor for the project. Groups of students even researched patterns and colors that statistically help students' academic improvement.

We are proud of both of these young women and all their accomplishments.
